To bake delicious banana cookies, you need overripe bananas. The cookies are soft rather than crunchy. They are perfect with sweet tea or cappuccino. The dough for such cookies does not require long preparation, as it is prepared by simple mixing of the ingredients and baking for 10-15 minutes. If desired, nuts, grated chocolate, and raisins can be added to the dough.

How to Make Banana Cookies

You’ll need overripe bananas if you want to make cookies. Very ripe, not just ripe. Bananas in markets are usually slightly unripe. However, sometimes they are overripe, but rarely. Buy a couple of bananas in advance and place them on the windowsill, but not in direct sunlight. In a few days, the fruits will “reach” the desired condition, become soft and fragrant.

Remove the butter and egg from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature. Mix till you get a homogeneous dough.

Bananas should be peeled. By the way, since flesh darkens quickly, everything must be done as fast as possible. Remove all of the soft strips between the peel and the flesh and chop off the top of the flesh. Mash the flesh with a fork and mix it with the mass we made before.

Sift the flour and mix it with a pinch of salt and baking powder. Add the flour to the mixture. Knead the dough again with cinnamon, ground nuts and chocolate chips. In order to change the aromatic components of a ripe banana, use additional fragrant additives- vanilla, cloves, lemon, etc.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it with butter. Place all of the dough in a pastry bag and squeeze tablespoon-sized bits of dough onto parchment paper, leaving 3-4 cm gaps between each other.

Bake it for 15 minutes. In the end, banana biscuits will be round and soft.
Allow the banana cookies to cool slightly and separate from the baking paper. Place sweet pastries in a basket with a napkin over top.
